Cometh the Hour !

Short and sweet this Guys and Gals, just wanted to share with you the great news that Steven Vullo, the man who defended Dave Lee Travis has taken Silk. Well, I think that's how they, put it !

So raise your glasses or your mugs of Yorkshire Tea to Mr Vullo QC for his part in the joy we all felt last Wednesday !

 Cometh the hour, cometh the Man !

    Rather than using an addendum, I thought I'd just add the following explanation of what taking silk means !
    A 'silk' is a QC (so named as a result of the silk gown they wear). They are also called Leading Counsel

    All QC's are barristers, but only about10% of barristers are QC's.

    They are appointed (following application) by the Lord Chancellor (MOJ) as being the best in their chosen field. It is like a 'kite mark' as being the very best.
    All other barristers, irrespective of seniority, are called 'juniors'

    As a professional lawyer he could just as easily have been on the other side.

    ..... let's not make the same mistake with Lawyers as we have with Politicians, Bankers and Media Barons. Let's always look at the evidence and let's always make sure that the evidence is neither hidden or ignored. That's probably the best we can do and let's please, none of us, EVER pretend that [lawyers] really do have the power of Grayskull.
