Goodness Gracious that Martina Hyde find has been lucrative to say the least. My burrowing into what was essentially, a funny story, led me as usual, into some dark places, none of which existed whilst 'Sir Jimmy', as the press still affectionately called him, was still breathing.
The whole of the Fleet Street sewer folk were reporting the story, which had a happy ending thanks to the sterling detective work of the British Transport Police
Ho, ho everyone was happy, Jimmy got his rose coloured specs back, the press and media got a funny story, and all was well in the sane place that was Great Britain in November 2007. Indeed, even the mirror rag appeared delighted for Jim. But, guys and gals, look again at their contemporaneous header 'updated' in February 2012
February 2012 was about the time that the lurid accusations first surfaced in print. Accusations first ventilated in late 2007, partly FACT - we cannot be certain as to how involved hacks were involved in Ms A's actions but we do KNOW that they knew, they just didn't tell us ! At the time that is !
'Police contact' ? could this guy lie straight in bed ? Bear in mind, this is the post-acquitted, Jamie Pyatt who eventually found himself in the dock having been arrested just days after Jimmy's death

Anyway, back to Jimmy's first mugging, the one he enjoyed so much and the ONE 'crime' the Police were able to associate Savile with before he died. Because, remember the Operation Newgreen Report anyone ? If you can find it, please send me a link
The report was published in May 2013 and folk were NOT happy at it's conclusions. I remember I was because now I knew for certain that there was indeed a 'rabbit-away' with the whole case. West Yorkshire Police were Jimmy's home force. If anyone could have been aware of any serious claims made, they would. Unfortunately, instead of doing the right thing morally, they chose to fall into line with the Savile Gestapo guidelines and admit that they must have made MISTAKES, FIFTY years worth !!!!

Meanwhile the trawl for more 'victims' went on unabated. West Yorkshire Police (or was it Scotland Yard) managed to lose Savile's diaries, at the very least they admitted they had HANDLED them
And let's not forget another FACT that was revealed just a few months before the Newgreen Report surfaced. Thank goodness for DNA eh ?
Unfortunately, no scientific evidence exists to either prove or disprove the sexual abuse claims, now touted as FACT by all and sundry. But us truth-seekers can comfort ourselves with the knowledge, that even if we lose the big battles, we still have the 'small personal ones' to savour !

I've been advised by Team Savile that permission to pay the individual compensation claims will be decided in the High Court on 21st July 2016. For those who have lost track, or who are new to the game, here's a useful piece from the Clacton and Frinton Gazette of all things ! The compensation scheme had been sanctioned by Justice Sales in February 2014, the Savile Charity lawyers had appealed and here they were in November 2014 wasting their breaths again !

Trustees of a charity which is the major beneficiary of Savile's
estate today told the Court of Appeal that compensation claims had to be
scrutinised.
And they said they had concerns about a compensation scheme agreed
between the executor of Savile's estate - the NatWest bank - and lawyers
representing alleged victims.
Earlier this year a High Court judge approved the compensation scheme
set up for victims of Savile, who died in October 2011 aged 84, despite
objections from the Jimmy Savile Charitable Trust.

No matter, the original decision was 'upheld' and, as the next useful piece explains, the claimants now numbered at least 199, thanks in part to advertisements published in the press earlier, fully endorsed by justice Scales in February 2014.

Someone kindly do me a favour and point me towards that lengthy bit about that system of scrutiny dux alludes to ? I don't remember reading anything more than a highly ambiguous 'system'. Adding to that, the FACT that the actual process as far as those trying to defend the claims is concerned, is almost deliberately impossible, and it all starts to look like a complete scam doesn't it ?
Had Jimmy's folks had his diaries they might have stood an outside chance. Thank goodness for the Operation Newgreen report and my chance encounter with this goody

I'd say that the debate yesterday started well, but I'd be lying because in the very first few sentences of his opening, lord Lexden came out with this
Yes, you read that correctly guys and gals and some of you would be forgiven for not being surprised that one of our social betters, endorses the injustice that is the Savile 'scandal'. But, hang fire a bit there and read on, because what this git comes out with next confirms the FACT that there will NEVER be Justice for ANYONE in this country when you have lawmakers who condemn one dead man, while ACTIVELY supporting others. It's that Peter Hitchin's - George Bell moment all over again isn't it ?
His Lordship has read the outstanding FACT report and supports the need for an inquiry into the handling of such cases.
Now, it goes without saying that I welcome the interest that the lords and ladies appear to be showing in such matters. But you CANNOT decide that one great dead man's reputation is more important than another. And, if you do, then you are morally corrupt, end of !
His lordship then shows his cards, he's a 'member of the George Bell support group'. Hold on to your self-belief for the next bit
