The Appeal - what no-one is telling you !
WHY is no-one reporting what was said yesterday, the second day of a hearing which resulted in a 'reserved decision' that is, the Judges need more time and/or information in order to come to a clear decision. There was just ONE announcement made by a sky journalist who did not appear to have attended the hearing
Of course, Ms Dux had her say later in the evening !
Now I was not at the hearing yesterday but I have been told by someone who was that the Judges said no such thing as 'no doubt he abused many'. They were not there to consider the compensation claims they were there to consider whether Nat West was doing their job as executor of Jimmy's estate, properly !
On the first day a BBC reporter attended and tweeted the following
One article I found put a bit more meat on the bones of the general press reportage. I have not seen these words reported ANYWHERE ELSE !

The Law Lords are concerned with the Law not claimants fraudulent or otherwise. They will hopefully arise at the right decision. In the meantime, the corrupt will do anything they can to muddy the waters !

DeleteI think I find this lawyer one of the most repulsive aspects of the entire Savile matter. Her whole basis for involvement is to make money from others misery dressed up as some noble action.
ReplyDeleteIt's her job to make money from others' misery. It's the way her job is being made so much easier by the likes of ITV This morning et al. Her and MWT are rarely off that sofa. But seriously, WHY does this woman get so much air time ? And WHY does no-one ask her the questions I do ? God'll Fix it I'm certain of that !
DeleteCharging obscene amounts for legal shilly-shallying is probably a far worse sin against the self-confessed victims than the assault in the first place. The entire legal profession exists to exhaust the will and the resources of protagonists in court to benefit themselves. The idea of the courageous barrister figure battling it out between good against evil in court is an utter illusion promoted by inaccurate novels and unrealistic TV. Basically there is no skill, because restrictions on protocol are so immense that one can only go through the motions. The barristers and solicitors belong to a clique which offer platitudinous encouragement to their prey and then watch amusedly as the protagonists wear themselves out. The police know all this and take liberties as they wish. It doesn't really matter what they do - the result is a lottery anyway and has nothing to do with whether one is in the wrong or the right. One can be found guilty or innocent on a whim, or simply because the head juror wants to get home early for tea.
ReplyDeleteJustice is a purposefully cripled process evolved over centuries to divide the peasantry and protect the Establishment from direct attack by the mob. The only people who ever win are the legal workers involved in it and they of course are the ones who are willing to stretch the truth and tell you that you have a chance. Today, in various class actions, many of these unprincipled lawyers only have to go to court rarely because postal threats of astronomical costs(set by themselves and out of all proportion to the actual work done) are often sufficient for a company to capitulate before trial. Barristers and Solicitors are nothing more than blackmailers, moral and financial. And what is worse is that, under the rules they have themselves created, even if they balls up your case through maladministration or malpractice they are covered by caveats that rob you of the right to sue them; so basically it doesn't matter what they do anyway. This state of affairs became irretrievable when Thatcher allowed solicitors to advertise, thereby imposing that awful thing 'competition' upon them all. Solicitors in competition is like watching a barracuda and a shark having a fight to the death. THAT is why you will find them frequently advertising themselves on Breakfast TV couches. People in the U.K. are dolts.
